President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards 2025: QB HOUSE Named ‘City of Good’

Singapore, 1 October 2025 – QB HOUSE, together with Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) and Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery (KMSPKS) has been jointly awarded the prestigious ‘City of Good’ at the President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards (PVPA) 2025. The award recognizes the collective efforts in raising childhood cancer awareness and funds for children and families impacted by cancer through Hair for Hope Satellite Event held at KMSPKS – Singapore’s only head-shaving event organized by CCF.

Since being appointed the official hairstylist sponsor by CCF in 2015, QB HOUSE has deployed around 20 hairstylists each year to shave at KMSPKS. To date, more than 3800 participants have had their heads shaved at KMSPKS, helping to raise over $2.7 million in support of children with cancer. Every shaven head represents an understanding by an individual of the ordeals that a child with cancer is subjected to.

“2025 marks our 10th year supporting Hair for Hope, with more than 20,000 heads shaved to date to raise awareness and funds for children and their families,” said Mr. Osamu Matsumoto. “QB HOUSE is honoured to receive the ‘City of Good’ award in recognition of our efforts. This milestone reflects our deep commitment to giving back to society.” Mr Osamu Matsumoto as the corporate ambassador for Hair for Hope 2025 also shaved his head to show his solidarity and support for children with cancer.
